In Anything else, Coffee, Thé

Anders Öhman Mat & Vin (Anders Öhman Food & Wine) blogged about my idea of a new cup. Anders Öhman is one of the owners  of  the Gustibus Wine & Spirit Academy in Malmö Sweden. His blogg is really a great source for learning and inspiration.

The cup (soon to be named) will be presented on a new web page and where you also can place an order.  It´s a cup that I couldn´t find in any shop but  needed when tasting coffes and teas. I presented my ideas and sketches to Risto Kokko/Daxhund Ceramics in spring 20011 and shortly after Risto made his model of what possibly could be produced. A quick decision and it was time for production. The goal was to create a cup like the better wine glasses enhances flavours. For the first time I could smell the coffee and tea aromas from a cup! The design emanate from the practical use of the cup and is also meant to be a new Swedish/Finnish design DNA . The Plimsoll mark idea is created by Kristoffer Börjesson, “Södra Esplanaden“.

Daniel Remheden one of the best baristas in the world, roaster, sommelier and co owner of Love Coffee in Lund Sweden is an Ambassadeur for the cup. I´m very proud of that Daniel found out that the cup made his coffee taste greater and he use it when presenting his coffee. Now you can also buy coffee from Love Coffee in Finland at Crema.fi

The cup is handcrafted and is produced more or less on demand. Think of slow grown, slow  roasted and slow brewed coffee/tea, enjoyed slow in the new cup that is slow produced! That´s slow life.

If you are interesed in placing an order, price 40 euro / cup, excluding shipping costs, please contact me on e-mail: stefan@kaffika.com
